On wet pavement, the wider contact patch reduces the risk of slipping. On gravel and packed dirt, the deeper grooves channel debris away and maintain traction where smooth tires would slide.

The credit amount (up to $700) is determined by your current chair's model and condition. Purchases made through third-party retailers (Amazon, eBay, etc.) do not qualify.
Yes — normal wear and cosmetic scratches are completely fine. As long as your chair can still move under its own power and the frame is structurally intact, it qualifies for a significant credit. Condition is one of two factors (along with model) that determines your final credit amount. We also accept non-working units, which qualify for a $50 recycling credit.
No — we ship your new DX07 PRO X first. Once it arrives, you have 14 days to pack your old DX07 into the new chair's box and ship it back using the pre-paid FedEx return label included in the packaging. You are never without a wheelchair during the swap.
Nothing. Kerdom covers 100% of the return shipping cost. A pre-paid FedEx return label is included inside the new PRO X packaging. Simply place your old chair in the box, attach the label, and drop it off at any FedEx location or schedule a free home pickup.
The trade-in credit cannot be combined with other promotional discount codes (such as holiday sale codes). However, it can be used alongside Affirm financing — so you can apply the up to $700 credit to reduce your total and then split the remaining balance into monthly payments.

Returned chairs in good condition are professionally refurbished and resold as Certified Pre-Owned units at a reduced price, giving another family access to affordable mobility. Chairs that cannot be refurbished are responsibly disassembled — working parts are kept as service spares, and remaining materials are recycled through certified e-waste facilities.
